Up to this point, we handled the basic elements of affiliate marketing system. As you remember in my previous post i talked about the importance of providing traffic to affiliate links, and the websites and blogs used for generating this traffic. In this post my discussion will be search engines that are the biggest resources of traffic necessary for affiliate links.
At the very begginning i must say that, appearing on the first page when a search is done with a given keyword on Google and Yahoo as the two biggest search engines, is for many of us, as valuable as winning the lotto jackpot in today’s internet life. Because our main source of traffic for affiliate links are definitely the search engines. Appearing on the first pages of these search engines will generate an explosion of traffic to our affiliate links. Therefore the money we earn will increase much.
Especially Google, considers many factors while indexing and listing web pages. Most important one of these factors, the backlinks that point to your website from other websites which have relevant content as yours has. For instance, if another website or blog link to www.imoneytize.com using one or more of the keywords or keyphrases such as make money online, online marketing, affiliate marketing , online money etc., Google considers it as an asset for www.imoneytize.com then ranks it higher in search results.
Here there is an issue that shoud not be skipped. Google gives every site a value in numbers up to 10 (page rank – PR), and positions each site in accordance with PR. The page rank of the website that links to yours is also important. That is; it is better to have 5 backlinks from the site whose PR is 4-5 than to have 50 backlinks from the one whose PR is 1. In addition, Google also considers the content of the site that links to yours. If the content of that site is parallel to yours, the link given to yours has a high value. My advice, get as many qualified links as you can for your website or blog.
There are many methods for getting high quality backlinks to your website or affiliate links. However most of them are useless. At this point i have two important recommendation for you:
First, article marketing; sign up with the websites such as www.ezinearticles.com that enable internet users to write and publish articles, and publish articles on these websites by including a link to your website or blog. Adding your affiliate link or website to the source section at the bottom of the article that you publish, will help you rank higher in search engines. In summary sign up with such websites and publish as many articles as you can by keeping in mind adding your link at the bottom or else, something like “Click here for more…” etc. Here what you need to pay attention is to publish articles relevant to your link or website, and the anchor texts while linking. you better use relevant anchor texts to rank higher in search engines.
Second recommendation is a program named Bookmarking Demon which automatically enables your website to have thousands of backlinks from websites whose page ranks are really high. This program has been used by almost everyone who is successful in affiliate marketing business. With this program it is not a dream to get to the first page not only of Google, but also of Yahoo and of other big search engines in a very short time. By beginning to appear on the first page you ll witness that your income will be multiplied.
As i said above, search engines are the biggest sources for providing potential buyers’ traffic to your affiliate links and websites. Therefore you should consider the importance and care necessary for search engines issue.
